Helpful Hints:

"The Paint Shop", enter: "Paint S".
When searching by personnel, enter the last name first.
If the company name is "Bill's Concrete", enter "Bill's Concrete". If the company name is "Bill Johnson's Concrete", enter "Johnson's Concrete".
For MacDonald or McAfee, enter "Mac Donald" or "Mc Afee".
Enter a space between initials that precede a company name. For example,
for "ABC Plumbing" enter: "A B C PLUMBING".
A contractor's license status (current, suspended, revoked, inactive, cancelled, expired) may change very quickly so you should recheck license status of the contractor you have chosen on the day you enter into a contract. If you contract with a contractor whose license is not current, you will not be eligible to receive funds from the Residential Contractors' Recovery Fund.

A contractor's license number is 6 digits in length. You must enter a valid license number. If an exact match is not found, an error message will be displayed.
If a license number has one or two leading(leftmost) zeroes, you are not required to enter those zeroes.
   For license number 001212, you may enter 001212, 01212, or 1212
   For license number 012123, you may enter 012123 or 12123
   For license number 121200, you must enter 121200
   For license number 012120, you may enter 012120 or 12120
   For license number 123123, you must enter 123123
If you enter 1212 (looking for number 012120), you will receive the license information for 001212 (if that license exists), otherwise you will get a "Not Found" error.
You might see a license shown something like: C-07R 123123 or 123123 C-07R. If so, then use only the numeric portion: 123123
A valid license number is all numeric. License numbers containing any alpha characters are invalid. Double check license number with your contractor.

An Arizona contractor license number does not contain alphabetic characters.
Do not include the ROC acronym, which is required to precede license numbers in contractor advertisements and business documents.
There are never more than 6 digits in the license number which may include zeroes at the beginning of the number. Examples: 085591, 001111. There will never be more than two leading zeroes in a valid license number.
Examples of incorrect license numbers: 111113-001, 080003C41, ROC123456.
Examples of correct license numbers: 111113, 080003, 123456.
